It depends on how far your frame sits above the ground. This one has a 19" leg and is intended for a frame-to-ground height of up to 15 inches. Measure before ordering: a C-Jack that is too short will not reach, and one that is too long gives up capacity you may need. It mounts where a crossmember meets the main frame rail.

5,000 lbs static load at this leg length — and that number changes with leg length, which is the part worth understanding before you order. BAL publishes 5,000 lbs for the 19-inch leg, 4,500 for the 22, 4,000 for the 25, 3,500 for the 28 and 3,000 for the 31. A taller jack is a weaker jack. Pick the shortest one that reaches your frame rather than the tallest one that fits.

No. A stabilizer stops the trailer rocking when you walk around inside it. It is not a lift, and it is not a jack stand. Raising a trailer on stabilizers can bend the frame at the mounting point, and it puts the whole thing on hardware that was never rated to hold it up. Use a bottle jack at a designated lift point, then support the load on stands, and only then go underneath.

This is a set of 2. Four is the normal number for a travel trailer — one at each corner — so a pair covers one end and most owners end up buying two sets. Placing them just inside the corners rather than at the extreme ends does more to stop the rocking, because that is where the frame is stiffest.

Put something under the foot. A jack pad or a scrap of dimensional lumber spreads the load so the foot does not press into gravel, sand or soft turf. This is not about grip — a stabilizer is not trying to resist sliding, it is trying not to sink. On asphalt in summer heat, a pad also keeps the foot from leaving a dent you will be asked about.
