Pourquoi ce produit

Pourquoi le Swagman Escapee 2-Bike RV Rack ?

The Escapee 2 is Swagman's answer to the e-bike-on-RV problem — 60 lbs per bike capacity handles most e-bikes, and it is RV-approved for the vibration and road conditions behind a motorhome. At 65 lbs the rack is heavy to install, but that steel build is what makes the weight rating trustworthy for long RV trips.

“Very sturdy bike rack likely to work well for our motorhome: This bike rack appears to be very sturdy and well-designed and likely to keep our two bikes secure on the back of our motorhome.”

“Works very good!: This is a great product. I had to buy the RV e-bike model and it lives up as advertised. The tire holders are not wide enough for my 4” tires, but the lock system works amazing. We are very happy.”

· Lire

“Sturdy and built to last: The instructions were not the greatest, but we figured it out. The features are awesome- the locking hitch and the bikes can each be locked as well. This rack is very sturdy and makes carrying our e-bikes a breeze. It is RV approved as well, which is what we originally purchased it for.”

“Perfect fit with our Pedego Electric bikes and 5th wheel trailer: We bought this to use with our Pedego Interceptor Electric bikes. We were looking for a bike rack substantial enough to hold their weight. Works great and we have the bike rack attached to the back of our 5th wheel.”

Questions fréquentes

Foire aux questions

The Swagman Escapee 2-Bike RV Rack mounts to standard RV bumpers (4"x4"). Fits most travel trailers and fifth wheels with steel bumpers. Utilise notre vérificateur de compatibilité to confirm your bumper specs.

The Swagman Escapee 2-Bike RV Rack carries up to 120.0 lbs. That's the carrier's rating—your bumper or hitch has its own limit too. Use whichever number is lower. Overloading bends bumpers and voids warranties. Weigh your gear, don't guess.

Yes. Budget 20 minutes and basic hand tools. The Swagman Escapee 2-Bike RV Rack bolts to your bumper or slides into your hitch receiver. One person can do it, but a second pair of hands makes alignment easier. Instructions included.

Possibly. The Swagman Escapee 2-Bike RV Rack extends behind your RV and may obscure your plate depending on mounting height and cargo size. Most states require a visible, illuminated plate at all times. Relocate your plate or add a plate bracket if blocked. Details in our legal guide.

The Swagman Escapee 2-Bike RV Rack is built from steel. Apply a rust-inhibitor spray twice a year if you drive in salt-belt states. Rinse after winter trips. Store indoors when not in use to maximize lifespan.

The Swagman Escapee 2-Bike RV Rack ne se replie pas. Tu devras le retirer quand tu ne transportes rien, ce qui prend 15 minutes. Range-le dans ton garage entre les trajets.

Adding 65.00 lbs of carrier plus your cargo weight behind the rear axle shifts your RV's center of gravity. Keep loads under the rated limit and distribute weight evenly. You'll notice slightly longer stopping distances. Take corners slower than usual until you're used to the extra rear weight.
