The Overlander XL is the original Smittybilt fold-out scaled up to 4-person capacity. At 160 lbs with a 5-minute setup, it is slower to deploy than the Gen2 version. The 600D PU-coated ripstop and 2.4-inch mattress are identical to the standard model. If you find this at a discount compared to the Gen2 XL, it is the same core tent with a longer setup process. Otherwise, the Gen2 is the better buy for the faster setup.
