Perché questo prodotto

Perché il OVS Nomadic 4 Extended?

The Nomadic 4 Extended is OVS's largest fold-out, sleeping 4 at 172 lbs. For a 4-person tent, that weight is competitive, lighter than many 2-person clamshells in OVS's own lineup. The fold-out format gives you substantially more floor space than a clamshell. If you need 4-person capacity and prioritize interior space over setup speed, this is a strong budget option.

“In use for 3+ years now, excellent tent: I've had this on my truck in South Florida for over 3 years now and it has held up beautifully. Quick and easy to set up and pack away. The cover is robust and has protected it from the harsh sun down here.”

· Leggi

“Sets up fast.: This is a nice solution. It sets up fast and packs up well. My only hold back is the "mattress" is an off size so buying a cover for it is a no, leaving the only option as making one yourself. The price for a quality rtt cant be beat, the quality of materials is great, the size is awesome.”

· Leggi

“Great tent.: We're very happy with our RTT, it's built well and has lots of extras that come with it. The sellers contacted me the next day to discuss delivery. Get a fan and leave the skylight open to help dissipate moisture. Very glad I went with this instead of 23zero.”

Domande frequenti

The OVS Nomadic 4 Extended weighs 172.00 lbs. Your rack's dynamic load rating is the limiting factor—not static. Most factory crossbars handle 150–165 lbs dynamic. If you're close to the limit, aftermarket bars solve the problem. Usa il nostro verifica compatibilità to confirm.

The OVS Nomadic 4 Extended weighs 172.00 lbs (78.00 kg). Here's why that matters: your vehicle's dynamic roof load rating must comfortably exceed this weight. Add passengers sleeping inside (static load only) and you need the static rating to clear roughly 472.00 lbs total.

L''installazione richiede due persone e circa 45 minuti. The OVS Nomadic 4 Extended bolts to your crossbars using the included mounting hardware. Key requirement: verify your crossbar spread is between 24" and 48" before you start.

Yes, but the OVS Nomadic 4 Extended's folded profile creates more wind resistance than a hardshell. Highway speeds of 65–70 mph are fine when properly secured. Here's why caution matters: check all buckles and straps before driving—a loose cover flapping at speed can tear fabric and damage the tent.

The OVS Nomadic 4 Extended uses 600D polyester ripstop fabric with a 3000mm waterproof rating. Ecco perché è importante: 1500mm resiste a pioggia moderata, 3000mm+ resiste ad acquazzoni prolungati. It's rated 3_season. Sigilla le cuciture di tutte le cerniere ogni anno per mantenere l''impermeabilità.

Expect about 5 minutes for a full setup of the OVS Nomadic 4 Extended. That includes unfolding, extending the ladder, and securing any rainfly or annex. Practice twice at home and you'll cut that time in half. Teardown takes roughly the same.

Plan for a 15–20% fuel economy hit with the OVS Nomadic 4 Extended installed. Here's why: 172.00 lbs of added weight plus aerodynamic drag increase consumption at all speeds. The penalty is worst above 65 mph where drag scales exponentially. Some owners only mount it for trips to minimize the ongoing cost.
