The Wasatch Medium is CVT's most affordable hardshell entry point. You get the same 3-inch mattress and 600D poly-cotton canvas as their premium models, but with a 3-season rather than 3-plus rating. At 160 lbs for a 2-person tent it is not especially light. If you want to try hardshell camping without the premium price and stick to fair-weather trips, this gets you into the CVT ecosystem at the lowest cost.
