Perché questo prodotto

Perché il CVT Mt. Rainier Softshell 72"?

The Mt. Rainier is where CVT's clamshell line goes large. At 72 inches wide it sleeps 3 comfortably, and the 30-second clamshell setup is dramatically faster than CVT's hardshell models. 150 lbs is reasonable for a 3-person clamshell. If you want the CVT mattress and canvas quality but cannot tolerate the 5-minute setup of their hardshells, this is the obvious alternative.

Domande frequenti

The CVT Mt. Rainier Softshell 72" weighs 150.00 lbs. Your rack's dynamic load rating is the limiting factor—not static. Most factory crossbars handle 150–165 lbs dynamic. If you're close to the limit, aftermarket bars solve the problem. Usa il nostro verifica compatibilità to confirm.

The CVT Mt. Rainier Softshell 72" weighs 150.00 lbs (68.00 kg). Here's why that matters: your vehicle's dynamic roof load rating must comfortably exceed this weight. Add passengers sleeping inside (static load only) and you need the static rating to clear roughly 450.00 lbs total.

L''installazione richiede due persone e circa 45 minuti. The CVT Mt. Rainier Softshell 72" bolts to your crossbars using the included mounting hardware. Key requirement: verify your crossbar spread is between 24" and 48" before you start.

Yes, but the CVT Mt. Rainier Softshell 72"'s folded profile creates more wind resistance than a hardshell. Highway speeds of 65–70 mph are fine when properly secured. Here's why caution matters: check all buckles and straps before driving—a loose cover flapping at speed can tear fabric and damage the tent.

The CVT Mt. Rainier Softshell 72" uses 600D poly-cotton canvas fabric with a 3000mm waterproof rating. Ecco perché è importante: 1500mm resiste a pioggia moderata, 3000mm+ resiste ad acquazzoni prolungati. It's rated 3_plus. Sigilla le cuciture di tutte le cerniere ogni anno per mantenere l''impermeabilità.

Expect about 0 minutes for a full setup of the CVT Mt. Rainier Softshell 72". That includes unfolding, extending the ladder, and securing any rainfly or annex. Practice twice at home and you'll cut that time in half. Teardown takes roughly the same.

Plan for a 15–20% fuel economy hit with the CVT Mt. Rainier Softshell 72" installed. Here's why: 150.00 lbs of added weight plus aerodynamic drag increase consumption at all speeds. The penalty is worst above 65 mph where drag scales exponentially. Some owners only mount it for trips to minimize the ongoing cost.
