The SkyBox NX 16 offers 16 cu ft with a flat bottom interior at 40 lbs — that flat floor means more usable space than curved-bottom competitors. Improved aerodynamics from the NX redesign keep noise in check. The downside? Yakima's mounting hardware takes more time to dial in than Thule's PowerClick, and 40 lbs is slightly heavier than the Thule equivalent.
