No front wheel removal required — that is the key advantage over fork-mount carriers. You load the whole bike as-is onto the roof at 8 lbs per carrier. Carbon-frame-safe wheel-mount design, integrated locks, 40 lb limit for standard bikes. The trade-off versus fork-mount is a taller profile on the roof. I recommend this to riders who hate removing their front wheel or who have thru-axle bikes that make fork-mounting a hassle.
