Zero frame contact — it holds the bike by the front wheel only, which is the safest option for carbon frames and unusual frame geometries. Compatible with disc brakes and thru-axles without adapters. At 17 lbs and 44 lb bike capacity, it handles standard bikes on any crossbar setup. The trade-off versus fork-mount carriers is a slightly higher profile on the roof. I sold hundreds of these to road cyclists who did not want anything touching their carbon frames.
