25-inch C-jack reach for most travel trailers and fifth wheels

Last reviewed: August 2026

rv_levelingground_placed

Steel C-shaped stabilizer jack with 25 inches of travel and 1,000 lb capacity. The longer reach handles moderate ground clearance on most travel trailers and fifth wheels. Reduces side-to-side movement at camp.

Por qué este producto

¿Por qué el BAL C-Jack 25" Pair?

The 25-inch version hits the sweet spot for most travel trailers. Same 1,000 lb stabilizing capacity as the shorter models, but enough reach for standard-height frames. These eliminate the wobble, not level the rig. At 26 lbs, they are manageable to position by hand.

“Good product, at a fair price.: I replaced the scissor jacks with BAL C Jacks on my camper. They look great and tuck closer to the frame when closed. Easy to install and much stronger than the scissor jacks that were on the camper. Note, the pads are sold separately from the jacks.”

“Just what you need: Just what I needed to stabilize the front of my Travel Teailer. Great price buying “used” only the box was damaged!!!! Easy install and glad I got a matching pair like the rear.”

Preguntas frecuentes

It depends on how far your frame sits above the ground. This one has a 25" leg and is intended for a frame-to-ground height of 18-21 inches. Measure before ordering: a C-Jack that is too short will not reach, and one that is too long gives up capacity you may need. It mounts where a crossmember meets the main frame rail.

4,000 lbs static load at this leg length — and that number changes with leg length, which is the part worth understanding before you order. BAL publishes 5,000 lbs for the 19-inch leg, 4,500 for the 22, 4,000 for the 25, 3,500 for the 28 and 3,000 for the 31. A taller jack is a weaker jack. Pick the shortest one that reaches your frame rather than the tallest one that fits.

No. A stabilizer stops the trailer rocking when you walk around inside it. It is not a lift, and it is not a jack stand. Raising a trailer on stabilizers can bend the frame at the mounting point, and it puts the whole thing on hardware that was never rated to hold it up. Use a bottle jack at a designated lift point, then support the load on stands, and only then go underneath.

This is a set of 2. Four is the normal number for a travel trailer — one at each corner — so a pair covers one end and most owners end up buying two sets. Placing them just inside the corners rather than at the extreme ends does more to stop the rocking, because that is where the frame is stiffest.

Put something under the foot. A jack pad or a scrap of dimensional lumber spreads the load so the foot does not press into gravel, sand or soft turf. This is not about grip — a stabilizer is not trying to resist sliding, it is trying not to sink. On asphalt in summer heat, a pad also keeps the foot from leaving a dent you will be asked about.
