Waarom dit product

Waarom de Ultra-Fab Ultra 4002 Electric Tongue Jack?

Ultra-Fab's electric tongue jack matches the Lippert on specs — 3,500 lbs, 18-inch travel, A-frame mount — but comes in lighter at 22 lbs. If you are replacing a manual crank jack, either brand works. The motor does the lifting; you press a switch. It is one of those upgrades that makes you wonder why you ever cranked by hand.

“Great Customer Service and Great Product.: Received as a Christmas gift from my wife (2017) so didn't get it installed until the Spring. It was an incredibly simple and straight-forward installation that took maybe 10 minutes, start to finish. First use occurred on Memorial Day weekend for a camping trip.”

“DOES NOT WORK ON 2016 F150 with Max Trailer Tow package WHY???: why does this not fit a 2016 F150??? it is totally installed correctly and works on a Nissan and a Chevy but yet i get no power or anything when plugging into the F150!! Very frustrating as it would seem to be an awesome product if it worked on my truck!!!”

Veelgestelde vragen

It is an A-frame tongue jack, so it needs an A-frame coupler with the standard bolt pattern. This one uses a 2.25-inch outer tube. Check the tube diameter against the jack you are replacing, and confirm there is clearance in front of the coupler for the head — a powered jack is taller than the manual one it replaces.

3,500 lbs. Match it against the load that will actually rest on it, and remember that a figure printed on a carton is a static rating — it assumes the load is already there and not moving.

No. It is a tongue jack: it lifts the front of the trailer to hitch and unhitch, and it is rated for that job at the coupler. Lifting an axle to change a wheel is a bottle-jack or floor-jack job at a manufacturer-specified lift point, with the trailer chocked. Never put any part of yourself under a trailer held up by a tongue jack.

An afternoon. The jack bolts to the A-frame in the existing holes, and then it needs power: 12 V DC, 20 A circuit breaker. Running a properly fused circuit from the battery is the part that takes the time, and it is the part worth doing properly — an underfused jack motor will trip or melt, and an overfused one will not protect anything.
