Tuff Stuff Alpine 51 Hardshell

The Alpine 51 uses 280GSM poly-cotton canvas rather than the synthetic polyester on Tuff Stuff's clamshells, which provides better breathability and condensation management. At 248 lbs it is extremely heavy for a 2-person tent, which severely limits compatible vehicles. The canvas is a genuine upgrade over polyester, but the weight penalty is steep. Only consider this if your vehicle can handle the load and you specifically want canvas breathability in a hardshell fold-out.
