CVT (Cascadia Vehicle Tents) was jarenlang het standaardantwoord op "welke daktent moet ik kopen?". De Mt. Shasta, Mt. Bachelor en Mt. CVT was in 2012 het eerste grote Amerikaanse daktentmerk, opgericht in Bend, Oregon. De oprichters hadden zelf nog nooit in een daktent gekampeerd voordat ze het bedrijf lanceerden — ze kochten hun eerste RTT rechtstreeks bij een Chinese fabriek, gewoon om te zien of ze hem konden verkopen.
