Roof Mounting
flush rails with factory rails
The 2nd-generation Mercedes-Benz GLC (X254, 2023+) features flush-mounted roof rails with the same proprietary Mercedes T-slot profile as the larger GLE. Rail-to-rail span: approximately 42 inches. Front-to-rear crossbar spread: up to 32 inches — compact luxury SUV dimensions comparable to the BMW X3 and Audi Q5. Thule Evo Flush Rail (7106) or Mercedes OEM crossbars mount to the rails. The GLC's flush rail profile requires manufacturer-verified tower feet — generic flush-rail towers may not engage the proprietary channel fully. The AMG GLC 43 and 63 S have identical rail geometry to the standard GLC 300. All roof accessories work across the variant range without modification. [ADD PERSONAL EXPERIENCE] The GLC Coupe variant (if available in your market) has different roof geometry — shorter rails, more aggressive roofline slope. Standard GLC (SUV body) and GLC Coupe accessories are NOT interchangeable. [ADD ORIGINAL PHOTO]
