Roof Mounting
bare roof
The Ford Maverick (2022+) has a bare roof with no factory rails — a compact unibody truck with a 4.5-foot bed. For cab-roof mounting: Thule Evo Clamp (710501) with Maverick-specific Fit Kit or Yakima BaseLine towers grip the doorframe edges. The Maverick's cab is compact — crossbar spread is limited to approximately 28-30 inches. This restricts roof cargo to compact boxes and lightweight accessories. However, the Maverick's real cargo story is its bed and hitch. Despite its compact size, the Maverick bed has a structural bed frame with mounting points suitable for aftermarket bed rack systems. Combined with a factory Class III hitch (available with tow package), the Maverick offers three mounting surfaces: cab roof (limited), bed, and hitch.
