Roof Mounting
raised rails with factory rails
The 3rd-generation Dodge Durango (WD platform, 2011+) includes factory raised roof rails on SXT and above trims. The Durango's body-on-frame-adjacent architecture (actually unibody, but built on a modified Jeep Grand Cherokee platform) provides robust mounting points. Thule Evo Raised Rail (710401) or Yakima TimberLine towers mount directly without fit kits. Rail-to-rail span: approximately 47 inches. Front-to-rear crossbar spread: up to 50 inches. The Durango's long, flat roofline provides generous cargo mounting area — among the best in the 3-row SUV segment. The R/T and SRT trims include body-colored rails with identical mounting geometry to black rails on other trims. The SRT's performance hood scoop does not affect roof-mounted accessories. [ADD PERSONAL EXPERIENCE] The Durango has been in production since 2011 with regular refreshes (2014, 2021). All model years use the same rail geometry — crossbar hardware purchased in 2012 still works on a 2024 model.
