The Pike 2XL gives you the same 15-second popup mechanism as the standard Pike 2 but in a larger footprint. At 172 lbs it is still lighter than most premium hardshells. The synthetic 420D polyester oxford fabric is durable but less breathable than canvas. If you want more sleeping space than a standard 2-person tent without stepping up to premium pricing, the 2XL fills that gap. Expect the same 3-season limitations as the standard model.
