Why this product
Why the Yakima SkyBox Carbonite 12?
The SkyBox Carbonite 12 has a textured finish that actually hides scratches and road grime — practical for daily use. At 35 lbs with 12 cu ft and SuperLatch security, it's a solid entry-level Yakima box. The downside? 12 cu ft is compact, 35 lbs is heavier than the Thule Pulse at similar capacity, and the Carbonite finish limits your color options.
