Why this product
Why the Yakima BowDown Kayak/SUP Mount?
The BowDown is a flat saddle carrier that folds down when not in use. 80 lb capacity, SUP compatible, padded cradles. At 16 lbs it is heavier than most saddle carriers, which likely reflects the folding mechanism. Works for kayaks and boards, but the weight and lower overall score suggest the DeckHand or DockGrip may be more practical choices for most paddlers.
