Premium rooftop tent brand based in Boulder, CO. Known for Falcon clamshell and Condor XL with large sleeping areas.
Roofnest is the Colorado-based rooftop tent brand that broke the iKamper pricing monopoly. Founded in Boulder, the company started by selling direct-to-consumer with no retail markup — essentially offering iKamper build quality at 60% of the price.
The Sparrow, Falcon, and Condor series are the main models. The Sparrow is the entry hardshell clamshell, the Falcon is the wedge-style version, and the Condor is a four-person box. All are made overseas but engineered in Boulder and backed by a real U.S. warranty.
Pricing runs about $2,500 to $3,800 depending on model. That's still premium, but noticeably cheaper than iKamper's directly comparable tent.

Roofnest was founded in 2017 specifically to undercut the prices of iKamper and Autohome. The founders spent a year touring Chinese factories before picking a manufacturing partner, and the Sparrow design won Outside Magazine's Gear of the Year in 2019.
