Made-in-USA aluminum rooftop tents from Bozeman, MT. Known for Platform Camper and Super Lite. Cult following in overlanding community.
Go Fast Campers (GFC) is a Montana-based company that builds ultra-light aluminum truck-bed and rooftop camper shells. Founded in 2016, GFC's flagship product is the Platform truck topper — a wedge-style hardshell camper that doubles as a rooftop tent.
The Platform mounts on a truck bed and pops up to create sleeping space for two. The whole unit is made from aluminum extrusions and is significantly lighter than traditional truck toppers (under 300 pounds for a mid-size truck version).
Pricing is high — expect $8,500+ for a Platform. That's the price of being made in Montana from aerospace-grade materials. For people actually living out of a truck camper, GFC has become the default choice.
Did you know?
Go Fast Campers was founded in Bozeman, Montana by two friends who wanted to camp out of a Tacoma without committing to a full slide-in camper. The first prototype was built in a barn over one winter and the waiting list for their Platform camper has been six to twelve months since 2019.
