Rooftop tent pioneer acquired by Thule in 2018. Known for Explorer and HyBox hybrid series. Widest distribution network via Thule.
Tepui was another early-2010s American rooftop tent brand that became a household name before being acquired by Thule in 2018. The Tepui Kukenam, Ayer, and Autana were some of the best-sellers in the U.S. RTT market during the overlanding boom.
Since the Thule acquisition, Tepui products have been rebranded and integrated into Thule's own rooftop tent line. The original Tepui softshells are still available in some channels but the brand as a standalone is essentially sunsetted.
If you see a used Tepui in good shape, they're great tents. New purchases, look to Thule's current lineup instead.

Tepui was founded in 2010 in Santa Cruz, California by a pair of climbers. The company was acquired by Thule Group in 2018 for an undisclosed sum — the founders had bootstrapped the whole business with about $80,000 of their own money.
