Why this product
Why the CURT 18145 48x20 Basket Carrier?
The CURT 18145 is a compact 48x20" basket at 29.5 lbs with 500 lb capacity and a 1.25"/2" adapter — it fits both hitch classes, which is genuinely useful for households with different vehicles. The downside? 48" is tight for larger loads, carbon steel means aggressive rust without maintenance, and the compact size limits utility compared to 60" models.
