Why this product
Why the Smittybilt Gen2 Overlander XL?
The Gen2 XL is one of the most affordable 4-person fold-out tents available. At 148 lbs it is lighter than many 2-person hardshells. The PU-coated 600D ripstop handles rain well enough for 3-season use. The 3-minute setup is an improvement over the original XL's 5-minute process. If budget is your constraint and you need to sleep a family, there are very few cheaper options at this capacity.
