Why this product
Why the Yakima OffGrid Extension?
The OffGrid Extension adds 40% more basket length to an existing OffGrid setup at just 10 lbs in steel. Quick-release means you can add or remove it based on the trip. The downside? It only works with the OffGrid basket — it's not a standalone product — and the steel construction means it'll rust if you don't maintain the finish.
