Tow bars, baseplates, and braking systems for flat towing. Primary competitor to Blue Ox.
Roadmaster is Blue Ox's main competitor in the RV dinghy-towing market. Founded in Vancouver, Washington, Roadmaster has been building tow bars and base plates since the 1970s. Their Sterling All-Terrain and Nighthawk tow bars are regularly ranked at the top of the RV aftermarket.
Like Blue Ox, Roadmaster specializes in custom base plates (a vehicle-specific mounting bracket that attaches to the frame of the towed vehicle). These are the most failure-prone components of dinghy towing and it's where Roadmaster earns its premium.
Pricing is comparable to Blue Ox. Choose between them based on which base plate is available for your specific flat-tow vehicle.
