iKamper

iKamper is the South Korean rooftop tent brand that changed how Americans think about RTTs. Founded in 2012 by Soon Park, iKamper introduced the Skycamp — the first hard-shell rooftop tent that could sleep four people — and reset expectations for what a premium RTT looks like.

The current lineup includes the Skycamp Mini (two-person), Skycamp 3.0 (four-person), and Blue Dot Voyager (entry-level). Build quality is consistently praised by every overlanding publication that reviews them. The zippers, hinges, and canvas are noticeably better than Chinese-import clones.

Pricing is at the top of the market. A Skycamp 3.0 runs about $4,000 before shipping. But resale values hold up and the warranty is real.
