Proč tento produkt

Proč Lippert Ground Control TT 5-Point Auto Leveling?

Same automatic leveling concept as the fifth wheel version, adapted for travel trailers with a 5-point jack layout. At 30,000 lbs, it handles the biggest trailers on the road. The one-touch operation means no more 30-minute leveling sessions. The 335 lb weight and installation complexity mean this is a professional install for most people. Worth it for full-timers.

“Very stable and easy to level camper: Yeah. If you’re considering buying, just do it. It’s incredible how stable your RV compared to the janky stabilizers that come on many rvs. These are solid. Installed on a 2023 Jayco jay flight 267bhsw.”

Časté dotazy

Často kladené otázky

This is a 5-point system for a travel trailer, and that distinction is not marketing — the jack positions and the frame reinforcement differ between a fifth wheel and a travel trailer. Fitment is decided by your frame and by what is already mounted under it, so confirm against your chassis before ordering. Retrofitting the wrong configuration is not a matter of using fewer jacks.

Up to 10,000 lbs GVWR. That is a gross vehicle weight rating for the trailer, not a lift capacity — it is the ceiling on what this system is engineered to sit under. Use your trailer's GVWR from its data plate, not its dry weight, and if you are near the ceiling you are near the ceiling.

Realistically, no. This bolts into the chassis and carries the weight of the rig; it is not an accessory, it is a structural modification with a hydraulic or electrical system attached. Dealers and RV service centres install these, the job runs to a day or more, and getting the jack positions wrong relative to the axles is how frames and slide-outs get damaged. If you are comparing prices, price the installation with the kit.

Put pads under the feet. These jacks concentrate several thousand pounds onto a small footprint, and on gravel, sand or rain-soaked turf they will sink — sometimes unevenly, which is worse, because the system will keep chasing level and keep extending. Purpose-made jack pads or lumber both work. On hot asphalt they also stop the feet leaving marks.

There is a manual override, and finding out where it is should not happen on the night you need it. Hydraulic systems can be retracted manually at the pump; electric jacks have an override on each motor. Read that section of the manual before the first trip and keep whatever tool it calls for in the rig — a system stuck extended cannot be driven away from.
