Proč tento produkt

Proč Thule Gateway Pro 2?

The FitDial adjustment system and SoftGrip cradles set this apart from basic trunk racks — easier to install and gentler on your bike. At 13.7 lbs with an integrated cable lock for the bikes, it offers more security than most trunk racks. The 37.5 lb per-bike limit means standard bikes only, frame contact design is not carbon-safe, and no lock to the vehicle. I recommend this as the premium trunk rack option for people who want Thule quality without installing a hitch.

“Fits SUV'S: Fit my 2025 Equinox, fits 2 bikes and we drove over 500 miles with no issues.”

“Great bike rack!!!: Great bike rack, the only thing I would say that could have been better about it, is the straps, they don’t stay put.”

· Číst

“Sturdy, quality bike rack.: Good quality bike rack. Easy to install and fits the back hatch of my Subaru Crosstrek. Thule phone support was exceptional as I had one question about the rack dial setting. I do wish the metal hooks were rubber coated.”

· Číst

“Quality bike rack: The rack itself is quality material and easy enough to install. A word of caution because it did not even dawn on me that a step through bike (girls bike) would need some kind of adapter in order for the bike to be mounted on the rack.”

New to Bike Racks? Read the 5 Types of Bike Racks Explained: Your Comprehensive Guide

Časté dotazy

Často kladené otázky

The Thule Gateway Pro 2 uses adjustable straps to attach to most sedans, hatchbacks, and SUVs — no hitch needed. It is one of the most universal mounting options out there. Check our kontrola kompatibility above and read průvodce nosiči na víko kufru for fit tips.

Honestly, I would not recommend trunk racks for e-bikes. E-bikes typically weigh 45–65 lbs each, and trunk-mount racks are designed for lighter standard bikes. The Thule Gateway Pro 2 supports up to its rated capacity. For e-bikes, upgrade to a hitch rack — see průvodce typy nosičů na kola.

Trunk racks are the easiest to set up — that is why they are so popular with first-timers. The Thule Gateway Pro 2 uses adjustable straps and hooks. You can have it on your car in about 5–10 minutes, no tools needed. I tell every beginner to start here. See průvodce nosiči na víko kufru for tips.

I will be honest — trunk racks have the highest damage risk because straps and hooks touch your paint directly. The Thule Gateway Pro 2 uses padded contact points, but clean your trunk surface first and check the pads regularly. Read jak předejít poškození nosiče for must-know protection tips.

The Thule Gateway Pro 2 retails at ~6 280 Kč. Trunk racks are the most budget-friendly category, which is why they are great as a starting point. Start here, upgrade later when you know what you need. See přehled cen nosičů na kola for comparisons.

The Thule Gateway Pro 2 does not include a lock, and trunk racks are the easiest type to remove. I strongly recommend a cable lock through the bike frames and around the rack. Some customers also use a strap lock. See průvodce nosiči na víko kufru for security tips.

This is the biggest trunk rack tradeoff. With the Thule Gateway Pro 2 mounted, you cannot open your trunk or hatch. You need to remove the rack first, which takes a few minutes. Plan your cargo loading before you strap the rack on. See průvodce nosiči na víko kufru for workarounds.
