Cascadia Vehicle Tents (CVT) was the original American rooftop tent brand. Founded in Bend, Oregon, CVT imported and refined Chinese-made softshell tents and became the default starter RTT for U.S. overlanders throughout the 2010s.
The Mt. Shasta, Mt. Bachelor, and Mt. Hood models were the main sellers. Build quality was solid. Pricing was moderate. For years CVT was the answer when someone asked "which rooftop tent should I buy?"
The brand has gone through ownership changes and availability can be spotty. If you find a CVT at a good price, it's still a solid tent, but check warranty status before buying new.
