For leveling specifically, the BAL Light Trailer Leveler is a popular alternative to stacking blocks — it clamps onto the trailer's wheel and jacks the trailer up from the wheel side, without needing a drive-on ramp. Not cheap (around $130 for a single leveler), but it's genuinely clever.
