Andersen Manufacturing is the Idaho-based RV and trailer hardware company behind the Andersen No-Sway Hitch, Hitch Rack, and Ultimate Trailer Gear. Family-owned since founding, Andersen has built a reputation for clever engineering at a premium price point.
The Andersen Weight Distribution Hitch (the one with the chains instead of spring bars) is probably the most distinctive product — quieter than a Reese, lighter to install, and about the same weight capacity. It's become the default recommendation for first-time travel trailer owners.
Pricing is premium. Install time is about half of a traditional WD hitch. For anyone who hates wrestling with spring bars at the campground, Andersen is worth the money.

Andersen's No-Sway Weight Distribution Hitch was invented in 2006 in Idaho Falls after the founder's neighbor complained about how hard it was to set up a traditional Reese WD hitch. The entire Andersen family still works at the company, and every hitch is assembled in Idaho Falls.
