Premium motorcycle and dirt bike hitch carriers. Known for the Sport and m3 carrier models with integrated wheel chocks.
MotoTote has been making hitch-mounted motorcycle carriers since 2005. The company is based in Minnesota and specializes almost exclusively in one product category: steel carriers that let you haul a dirt bike or small street bike on the back of an SUV or truck.
The MTX (Sport) and M3 (Heavy Duty) are the two main models. Capacities run from 300 to 600 pounds. Everything is welded steel — there's no pretense of being a Thule product — and prices are in the mid-tier.
For dirt bikes, dual-sports, and smaller street bikes, MotoTote is one of a small handful of brands actually building for this use case. The others (VersaHaul, Black Widow) are close competitors.
Did you know?
MotoTote was founded by a moto-enthusiast engineer who couldn't find a hitch carrier strong enough for his wife's dirt bike, so he welded one in his garage — that prototype is still mounted in the company lobby.
