Warum dieses Produkt

Warum der Body Armor Sky Ridge Pike 2?

At 115 lbs with a 15-second setup, the Pike 2 is one of the lightest and fastest-deploying hardshell tents available. The 420D polyester oxford is a synthetic fabric rather than canvas, so it will not breathe as well but handles moisture without treatment. This is a straightforward budget hardshell popup. If weight and price are your primary concerns and you camp mainly in 3-season conditions, it delivers the basics without unnecessary extras.

“Great Rooftop Tent 4 the price $: Overall I would give this tent a 9 out of 10.... Not as big as my previous rooftop tent but that's my fault honestly for not paying attention to dimensions close enough before purchasing the item I've taken my Lil girl in it twice already, once to Ormond Beach ⛱️ down here in sunny…”

“Must Buy !!: I'm not the type of person to write reviews but this one was a must! All I can say is I am a happy person with this purchase. I'm huge on camping and outdoor person. One of the main reason why I bought this was for a Glamis trip. Let me tell you! The tent is waterproof and windproof!”

Häufige Fragen

Häufig gestellte Fragen

The Body Armor Sky Ridge Pike 2 weighs 115.00 lbs. Your rack's dynamic load rating is the limiting factor—not static. Most factory crossbars handle 150–165 lbs dynamic. If you're close to the limit, aftermarket bars solve the problem. Nutze unseren Kompatibilitäts-Check to confirm.

The Body Armor Sky Ridge Pike 2 weighs 115.00 lbs (52.20 kg). Here's why that matters: your vehicle's dynamic roof load rating must comfortably exceed this weight. Add passengers sleeping inside (static load only) and you need the static rating to clear roughly 415.00 lbs total.

Die Montage erfordert zwei Personen und etwa 45 Minuten. The Body Armor Sky Ridge Pike 2 bolts to your crossbars using the included mounting hardware. Key requirement: verify your crossbar spread is between 24" and 48" before you start.

Yes, but the Body Armor Sky Ridge Pike 2's folded profile creates more wind resistance than a hardshell. Highway speeds of 65–70 mph are fine when properly secured. Here's why caution matters: check all buckles and straps before driving—a loose cover flapping at speed can tear fabric and damage the tent.

The Body Armor Sky Ridge Pike 2 uses 420D polyester oxford fabric with a 2000mm waterproof rating. Das ist wichtig: 1500mm hält mäßigem Regen stand, 3000mm+ hält Dauerregen stand. It's rated 3_season. Versiegele alle Reißverschlüsse jährlich, um die Wasserdichtigkeit zu erhalten.

Expect about 0 minutes for a full setup of the Body Armor Sky Ridge Pike 2. That includes unfolding, extending the ladder, and securing any rainfly or annex. Practice twice at home and you'll cut that time in half. Teardown takes roughly the same.

Plan for a 15–20% fuel economy hit with the Body Armor Sky Ridge Pike 2 installed. Here's why: 115.00 lbs of added weight plus aerodynamic drag increase consumption at all speeds. The penalty is worst above 65 mph where drag scales exponentially. Some owners only mount it for trips to minimize the ongoing cost.
