Warum dieses Produkt

Warum der Kabari XL Wedge?

The Kabari XL Wedge combines the aerodynamic profile of a wedge design with a 60-second setup. Wedge tents sit lower than clamshells when closed, which means better fuel economy and easier garage clearance. The 202 lb weight is reasonable for a hardshell, and the poly-cotton ripstop breathes better than pure nylon options.

Häufige Fragen

Häufig gestellte Fragen

The Kabari XL Wedge weighs 202.00 lbs. Your rack's dynamic load rating is the limiting factor—not static. Most factory crossbars handle 150–165 lbs dynamic. If you're close to the limit, aftermarket bars solve the problem. Nutze unseren Kompatibilitäts-Check to confirm.

The Kabari XL Wedge weighs 202.00 lbs (91.60 kg). Here's why that matters: your vehicle's dynamic roof load rating must comfortably exceed this weight. Add passengers sleeping inside (static load only) and you need the static rating to clear roughly 502.00 lbs total.

Die Montage erfordert zwei Personen und etwa 45 Minuten. The Kabari XL Wedge bolts to your crossbars using the included mounting hardware. Key requirement: verify your crossbar spread is between 24" and 48" before you start.

Yes, but the Kabari XL Wedge's folded profile creates more wind resistance than a hardshell. Highway speeds of 65–70 mph are fine when properly secured. Here's why caution matters: check all buckles and straps before driving—a loose cover flapping at speed can tear fabric and damage the tent.

The Kabari XL Wedge uses 280gsm poly-cotton ripstop fabric with a 3000mm waterproof rating. Das ist wichtig: 1500mm hält mäßigem Regen stand, 3000mm+ hält Dauerregen stand. It's rated 3_season. Versiegele alle Reißverschlüsse jährlich, um die Wasserdichtigkeit zu erhalten.

Setup takes roughly 1 minutes. The Kabari XL Wedge's wedge design unfolds from one side—simpler than a full fold-out. No separate poles needed. Here's why it's faster: fewer moving parts mean fewer steps between parking and sleeping.

Plan for a 15–20% fuel economy hit with the Kabari XL Wedge installed. Here's why: 202.00 lbs of added weight plus aerodynamic drag increase consumption at all speeds. The penalty is worst above 65 mph where drag scales exponentially. Some owners only mount it for trips to minimize the ongoing cost.
